That's so kind of you to post the details. Not just for Stormy, but for the rest of us, who may someday need a PICC line.

Thanks!
B.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

The picc line is in my arm. They are going to put the clot buster tube thing in through my leg behind my left knee. That will be done in the morning and I will be moved to ICU after the procedure. I can't remember my password so I can't log in. My blood pressure is extremely low. They won't tell me how low is too low but I am sure I am close to the line. I am a little foggy at times. IF my BP doesn't get too low I am sure I will be fine.

Sending positive energy your way for a speedy recovery! Sounds like you are getting great care.
Several years ago, I had a PICC line for 6 weeks so I could give myself IV antibiotics every morning. It worked really well and meant that I could be more independent and not tied to the local outpatient clinic every day. Best wishes.

Hi stormy, it looks like you are being given great care. It seems that they are being very pro-active which is great. My sister's "normal" blood pressure is around 80/50 and HIGH is 90/60 and has been like this from her youth. Sometimes they can't measure it on a normal machine. It hasn't done her any harm. Get well soon!
