No, not really. Basically while it says 7 days...it is one day. After tonight it will be 2 day/night average. Next night 3 day average until you reach 7 nights and on the 8th night it begins an average of the most recent 7 nights.
They don't use 7 nights worth of hours on the first night to compute the average that gets shown. It's a running average of however many hours the machine has been used period. It is accurate to the point that it is an average for however many hours the machine has been used at this point. Since prior numbers were seen as zero then what you see is yours.
It will be basing that number on the apparent 2 hours or so of use that it is showing on the LCD screen at this point.
Numbers on the LCD screen are all tied into each other. When it shows 5 hours of use for your therapy session then the AHI will also be based on 5 hours. Right now it is based on the whatever hours is showing for this last night's single session...around 2 hours.

When I got the machine the lady said it came with the card, but she did not know what it did, or where it went, it was loose in a bag with the manuals.

When I put the sd card in my laptop, it does not even show up, so know way to look to see if anything is there, or reformat ...

The machine was made on 3/12/2010 March 12, 2010 IIRC.

When I start the machine, it says do not remove sd card ... But if I go into one of the menu's it says card has 0% available ... I'll put a new one in when I get home ...

Added since Pugsy's post: (I'm a slow typer on an iPhone!)
Oh OK.

I "slept" with it on for two 10-15 minutes sessions, one in the morning, the other in the evening ... Then I wore it for about 3 hours, then turned it off for a few minutes, then on for about two more hours ... Then I checked it about another hour plus ...

Sounds like the SD card was damaged since the machine is reporting 0% available and the laptop doesn't see it either. Just use a new one. May have become damaged flopping around loose in the bag.

Check in both the therapy and clinical setup menus....now that I think about it I don't remember if the GMT clock reset thing was offered in the therapy menu or the other menu. The time frame for the machines that did offer this feature would be around the time that your machine was manufactured. Not all of them had it but some did. It is/was the last option though from what I remember from the manuals that showed it in whichever section it showed up. Not sure if it was something that was offered maybe in Europe.

Does this laptop see another card put in it?

I have not tried, I normally would just plug my camera into the USB via a cable ... Will try when I get home!

When in doubt, open the case. Remember: If you can't open it, you don't own it!

Prescribed APAP range - 6-10 cm/H2O, titrated at 8.
Current range - 9.0-11.5 cm/H2O - still searching for the magic "zero night" but averaging 2.2 AHI

Not so easy to just whip in, when I'm driving a semi with a large sleeper and a loaded 53' trailer!

I should be home by this weekend ... I'll just leave it set at 6cm - 12cm ...

So IF the laptop won't read the card how will SH dl it? Troubleshooting can be done in logical steps using what you already have on hand.

Just to be clear ... The card reader is built into the side of the laptop ... One of those that take different size/type of cards ... If it is the reader (won't read known good card) I have a USB card reader at home too ... Nothing urgent.

<I figured that> So IF it turns out the built-in reader doesn't work then you won't need a new card

Well, since you asked here's my troubleshooting process:

Symptoms:
1. SD Card does not write in the DS550.
2. PC (or Mac's) Onboard SD reader does not recognize the SD card for read or write.

Observations:
1. SD Card has been modified (silver marks on card).
2. User has never been able to access the SD card.

Diagnosis & Actions:
At this point we can assume the card is most likely bad based on the fact that neither the machine nor the laptop can address it.

1. Replace SD Card
2. It might be possible to run a low-level NAND format utility and restore the card to a usable state, but why bother on what should be a ~$10 memory card?
3. It's also remotely possible that the write tab is in the locked position andthe cardreader is bad, but the KISS principle suggests that the card is the problem.

Prognosis:
1. Replacing SD card will address the DS550 not writing.
2. Replacing SD card SHOULD address the cardreader not recognizing the card.
3. If cardreader does not recognize the card, end user has another cardreader available at home.

Pugsy,

Still same data as I listed before ... I found the "reset data" in the clinicians menu under info, but when I click on it it doesn't do anything ... Did not find anything about a time setting ...

When I first power it on (plug it in) it comes up as V 1.22 and then a message which says "Data activity: Do not remove card" then eventually it goes to the home screen.

I think I may have been wrong before ... I'm looking at the. Info screen, then status with a outline of a sd card, it then says SD Card unlocked Free space 100%

I also noticed last night that the mask check feature doesn't work or is unavailable ... (@home screen hold down ramp button)

Maybe it has an older software edition?

Reset may require you to hold the wheel and the ramp button for 5 seconds until it clicks.

[Edit - until it beeps, not clicks.]

I don't think there's any time setting at all in the provider menu on PRS1.
