In a previous life, I was a licensed retirement investment consultant for a very large firm that probably controls some of your money.

Last year I got tired of being a suicide hotline operator who also occasionally sold mutual funds and stocks. I gave up my licenses (WHY did I do that?!?!) and became a stay-at-home mom a few months later.

Recently I've taken up freelance editing. A couple of weeks ago I wrapped up work on an MBA-level textbook for a friend (whose stuff I edited all through high school). It should be published soon.

For the past 10 years I have been dispatching for Emergency Services and operating a 9-1-1 center on the midnight shift.
My wife and I own a gun store and I'm also a gunsmith.

I am a secret agent for..... Oh never mind, I'm really a nurse, I own and operate two assisted living facilities for the elderly with Alzheimer's and dementia's. I do have a room reserved for me and will be there sooner than I think. Just hope staff get me to the bathroom on time.

Former Administrative Professional for a Software Development company in the Credit and Collections Industry. After my Muscular Dystrophy diagnosis, I worked full time for 3 more years, then tried to work part time doing light clerical work for a milk company. I found that even 20 hours a week was more than I could handle.

Now I'm a stay at home mom to two teenagers (that's a job in itself).

For the last 10 years I have worked with people with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. I am now semi retired but am "on call" for one agency. I love this line of work, very rewarding.
When I decided to retire I went to a travel agent to book a cruise to celebrate. A few weeks later the agent called me. She was starting her own agency and wanted me to work for her. I told her as long as there is no commute involved I would do it. So I work at home and love it. We sell all types of travel but I mostly specialize in cruises.
