I have been diagnostic with sleep apnea. My question is "is this is for the rest of my live or this can be cure ". My cpap is set to 8 and I have a mirage activa nasal mask and it start to bother me in top of my nose I have a red mark already. Last night I had to take off and sleep with out the cpap which is not good for what I read. My next appoiment is in two week. Since I start to read in this cpaptalk, I already have about two or more paper full off questions for my Dr. The first one is the one that I am asking here.
Thank for the help.

CPAP is pretty much for life. There are a few who may be helped by losing weight; surgery may help a few but isn't an option for all of us; and many who have surgery find in a few years that they are back on CPAP.
There are a number of posts and threads on this forum about dealing with nose sores.

In short, the cures seem to be moleskin, changing masks, or using Pad-a-Cheeks made for the purpose of avoiding nose irritation.
Best wishes to you!

Very nicely said. The good news is - it is only terminal if you stop using cpap.birdshell wrote:CPAP is pretty much for life. I have no doubt, how I sleep affects every waking moment.
I am making progress-NOW I remember that I can't remember

If this isn’t rocket science why are there so many spaceshots?
