Based upon the issues we've been having lately with this website...I'm guessing that CPAPTalk.com does not follow standard IT industry practices when it comes to "test" and "Production" environments!

...and some people just don't read well

I'm in finally after what seems like a week. Consistent redirect errors. I tried everything mentioned. 4 different browsers on my computer and phone and nothing. Tried all the links many times and nothing. Just now I clicked on Paleriders name, it asked me to log in and it actually did for the first time. Paleriders my good luck charm now. :D

Not sure how long it has been going on, but I would guess a couple months or more. I've been getting many "I'm not a robot" popups. Nearly every time I'm on the forum. Often if I just hit the back button and go forward it would not ask again. Other times I had to close the browser and log in again. Seemed pretty random when it would happen. Sometimes it was immediately as I tried to log in. This is the only website that has been doing that to me. Definitely some problems with the website for some time. Now it is really broken.

Hopefully it will get resolved soon so people can get the help they need.

I don't know if there is a correlation or not but this morning I was on just fine until I replied to a PM and then when I clicked on "return to the forum" I got the redirect error. I had this happen several times yesterday each after I replied to a PM and tried to go back to the forum.

I am scratching my head.

Equipment profile is still broken...and I still get the occasional "I am not a robot" thing...had it once this morning already.

Dont know if it helps but when I did get in I had cleared the windows internal DNS which could help:
https://www.wikihow.com/Flush-DNS\at a command prompt type:
IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS
press enter
(there is a space between the ipconfig and the /)

That's too bad....your thread on What to know before speaking to your DME should be required reading for EVERYONE diagnosed with Sleep Apnea.

I know someone who is getting ready to do a sleep study and I forwarded them a link to your blog...there's some great stuff up there!

If you do get a chance, an update to reflect the latest would be very welcome!

I'm able to get logged in every time in Firefox, Edge and Chrome by clicking on someone's name in a thread. It will ask you to log in when you click the name. Not sure if this has anything to do with it but I set all browser security as high as possible and have things set so nothing is saved when the browser is closed.

I usually use Firefox as my browser when coming to this site, and have had no problems getting on. Out of curiosity, I tried to log on using Microsoft Edge and could not log on. I would get the "You have been redirected too many times" page. I will just stay with my Firefox browser.

Firefox is working for me, too--even with Spectrum wi-fi.
Fingers crossed--as good as I can without hurting my webs

the 'old hands" seem to have found ways to get in, each in their own way.

let's hope the people who need help can get in!

...for those who are not in the IT world - usually, when a company wants to install an update, patch, or other backend services to their website they test it in a "test environment" first to see what might go wrong before ever applying that update, patch, or other backend services into your "live production" webservers. The "test environment" is an exact duplicate of the actual live production website. Testing is usually done days in advance, to root out any issues that a patch or update might cause.

Based upon the issues we've been having lately with this website...I'm guessing that CPAPTalk.com does not follow standard IT industry practices when it comes to "test" and "Production" environments!
Speaking as someone from the IT world, this really has nothing to do with it, it's not a *forum* issue, it's not an Apache issue (webserver) issue, it was a web cache issue.

They'd been using cloudflare, and switched to incapsula, (these people: https://www.imperva.com/incapsula-moved/) and it was screwed up, so that depending on which of their servers you hit, and that could change during one session, you'd get a connection that worked, or you'd get a connection that said "oh, that moved, go here instead" only the "go here" was where you'd just come from, thus "redirecting improperly".

Just to clarify, Is what you wrote above what you discerned from studying the routing of traffic, or did someone in an official capacity pass that along

Even still, a major change such as changing a website's Content Delivery Network provider is probably just as huge as a major software update and should have had a rollback plan and been watched very carefully. At least in my world, we do/did.

It's interesting that CPAP.com did not appear to be affected...and troubling that no one who runs this site ever came to explain or update - heck, even our mods had trouble logging in and passing along what they could.

It appears that the login issues may be resolved...as I've had no issues today with logging in (knock on wood - cuz there's no rollback plan) :D :D
