Don't "accidentally" throw it across the room... (I so seldom get to take a cheap shot at dear pugsy)
The aliens ripped it from my secure little hands.
How did you fair with the bad weather last night? Parts around here are still without power due to some winds and tornadoes but fortunately all I have to do is pick up some downed tree limbs later once this crap moves on out.
It's snowing right now. 60 degrees yesterday and bad storms and tornadoes and 20 degrees today with snow, ice and sleet.
Wonderful weather.
Please don't send the aliens after me but I have to share.

this was a few days ago. Tonight we might get down to freezing.

Yep...it's an old thread with a still current problem. I have had 2 water chambers develop leaks but in both instances it was after trauma to the chamber. One I just dropped on to the hardwood floor by the bed and the other it flew out of my hands (long story) across the room onto the hardwood floor.
I'm still using my original water chamber. I have a back for Murphy tho.
Me too, it's approaching 20 months now.
- I don't use distilled water, just tap.
- Dump the water every night, rinse and refill.
- Wash with hot soapy water (Dawn) every 3 weeks or so.
- I don't have any mineral buildup, I've soaked it in a 50% lemon juice / water maybe 3 or 4 times since I got it.
I don't dump every day. I use distilled because our water here is so bad. I just top it off every night and when I use up the bottle of distilled (about every 3 weeks)I dump the chamber rinse it out let it dry completely and then refill.

Hey...it's 21 degrees here right now and I just saw the aliens packing up for a short trip...seems like I heard them say something about Arizona and visiting babydino because it was so frigging cold here and babydino lives in a MUCH warmer part of the country.

I didn't send them...they wanted to go.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

I received my air-sense 10 water chamber (a replacement for a leaking chamber) 2 days ago. Last night I was woke up by the sound of dripping water from my air chamber to the floor. This was the sixth replacement within last 2 years! Luckily most of the costs are covered by insurance
The water chamber is a poor design. The base of the chamber is a metal plate and vaporizes the water to create humid air. The heating and cooling of the metal plate causes the expansion and contraction different from the plastic chamber. This causes leaks along the seams. I put some flex seal into the chamber and let it run through all the seams. It stopped the leaks. Another method is to get some bathroom chalk to seal all the seams. Good luck!

Your dealer is going through an ENTIRE SHIPMENT of defective chambers.
Contact Resmed, and identify the dealer.
They may be selling knock-offs--Resmed will be displeased . . .

Granted, my experience is limited to three machines and three different humidifiers, but all of them (Respironics and Resmed) are designed like this. How else could it be done??

My Humidifier tank came with my machine in March 2018, and still going strong.
This is why I think it's a bad idea to replace the tank according to insurance schedule. You could be replacing a perfectly good tank for a defective one.

My water reservoir is five years old, and my wife's is over three years old. Neither one has ever leaked, and they get cleaned once a week.
Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.

Look at this Youtube video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcjChgp ... =JohnKelly
The problem is the continous heat up-cooling down which makes the metal plate move a little each time and after a while the plastic can't stand any longer and will open up a bit at the joint between the platsic bottom and the upper part of the cannister. He fixed it with silicone on the joint.
