I respectfully disagree with your suggestion, but any picture of a cpap would date the cover,
and show preference of one brand over another. This is an important issue.
Dr Park's book is directed to ALL cpap/bipap, etc. users.
I also disagree with your title, and prefer his, also with the utmost respect to both of you.

Thank you Dr. Park for this information. I don't know what your feelings are regarding a patient's need to have access to data and the skillset with which to use it, but if you agree more knowledge is better than less, would you consider adding a section dealing with charting and evaluating data and the various software programs available for patients to use? If not the addition, could you consider a separate primer for patients on evaluation or a reference section in this book pointing to any publications accessible to laymen that would help in this regard?

I do agree that a chapter on efficacy feedback would be very helpful.

That choice may be based on anticipated marketing through DME's.

I, too, would if that was a channel of distribution chosen. My reasoning is:
1) I doubt DMEs would accept it - they might see it as counterproductive to their interests (control of transactional knowledge would shift in favor of the reader, not DME).
2) Given this, DMEs would, not might, seek to influence content.
3) The logistics of publishing are very complicated and heavily weighted in favor of the seller (charge-backs are very common) and up-front costs are very high for the publisher.
4) If self-published, the book is either an ego project or a passion (the writer/publisher has to invest a lot of time and money in the effort).
5) All of this points to the problems inherent in the effort - traditional distribution models require a large first run and marketing costs that self-publishers are loathe to underwrite - on-demand short-run publishing through online ordering channels are much easier to manage and justify.

What do you mean by the word "trumpts", is it connected to Donald Trump?

Not to put too fine a point on it, but the word used was trumps (no 't'). In which case I refer you to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary in which the first two definitions of the word when used as a noun are:
1
a :  a card of a suit any of whose cards will win over a card that is not of this suit —called also trump card
b :  the suit whose cards are trumps for a particular hand —often used in plural
2:  a decisive overriding factor or final resource —called also trump card

The third definition is I think, largely irrelevant for this discussion.
When used as a verb (as in this case) the definitions are:

1: to beat (another card) by playing a card from the suit that beats the other suits : to play a trump card to beat (another card)
2: to do better than (someone or something) in a contest, competition, etc.
3: to be more important than (something)
Definitions 2 and 3 are most relevant in this usage.
