Type "Airing" into the search window to see previous thread.
Not their first crowdfunding attempt.
The first was a dismal failure.
Years away from reality, IF EVER.
But it's your money.
Easier to set it on fire; at least the con artists will not get your name.

Thanks, I did do a search and nothing came from the results? Maybe I searched wrong, but don't know how you could search wrong. Can someone post a link to the previous thread?Goofproof wrote:I'll take a large piece of Apple Pie in the Sky! Go ahead send them your retirement check. Jim

just how did you 'search'? I typed 'airing' into the search bar and gotJackie1 wrote:Thanks, I did do a search and nothing came from the results? Search found 260 matches: +airing
you can also go to google and search 'airing' and find out what bullshit other cpap sites think it is, or for a more targeted search, put site:cpaptalk.com in the google search window to restrict it to here. (probably works on other search engines too.

Re: Airing device??? To replace cpap????
I think someone earlier pointed out that this is a one time use item that costs $3 each.....that's $90 month or over $1000 a year. They have been collecting donations for well over 18 months....I don't believe it will ever materialize as a viable product. No way this could open an airway.

Maybe it it was packed with two hoses you could force into each nostril and run into each lung, and a nasal spray that would stiffen the hoses so they would remain open, then you could throw away everything else in the box. I think I read in the article that you need to use a new one of these airing devices every day so that could be expensive.
It's also would be a problem for those of us that sleep with our mouth open and I am not sure what % of cpap users are open mouth sleepers.

Re: Airing device??? To replace cpap????
I'm more interested in the micro-blowers. Outside of the fact that their design is already covered by a bunch of patents it's basically just a diaphragm pump.
Looks like anything resembling this in actual production is based on a piezoelectric design which has some distinct limitations. The first one being that the exhaust is pretty much always from the center of the blower due to the deformation of the diaphragm which moves the air. Since they run 20mm or so on a side it's going to be hard to stack those in parallel unless you have a really big space. They're 2mm thick but if you stacked them that way you'd end up with them in series which would get you nothing at all based on their design. If companies like Murata haven't bothered developing a blower based on the proposed design on the Airing webpage, which is extremely simple in theory, I'm skeptical there's any value to the idea.
The ones they have are impressive little buggers though: http://www.murata.com/en-us/products/me ... fluid/demo
