There is a hoseless, cordless, maskless, battery-operated CPAP device under development. It is about the size of the first half of my thumb. Maybe the May 5, 2015 announcement is too good to be true, because it certainly has not taken the CPAP world by storm.
If you go to the website, read the FAQs. They make some ambitious and interesting claims. It would run for 8 hours on a non-rechargable battery. No mention of data recording capability. Will that be addressed later? The device would be subject to FDA approval. That can take years. Click on the ABOUT tab to get an over view of the device.
Right now it looks like they are fishing for development capital.

There are AT LEAST 6 posts in the past week on this item....No one seems impressed and many feel it will never go anywhere. If you are interested take a few minutes and look back.

Re: Mini-mini CPAP device
It would be a great option if it were to be real. There are so many that give up on CPAP therapy - any other working options would be welcome.

Sorry for cluttering up the forum. I did not see the previous posts. Can you point to some of them for me? Thanks.LSAT wrote:There are AT LEAST 6 posts in the past week on this item....No one seems impressed and many feel it will never go anywhere. If you are interested take a few minutes and look back.

If it's too much trouble to look back a few days.

Re: Mini-mini CPAP device
It wasn't too much trouble to look back a few days. I originally did a search and apparently created a poor search argument, got no hits, so I posted what I thought was a new subject.LSAT wrote:If it's too much trouble to look back a few days.

Because of a serious family illness I can't log on here every day and the prior topics about this device apparently did not trigger my interest if I saw them at all. I apologize for rocking the boat.

Actually using Google is a lot better than the forum at searching for something like that...wardmiller wrote:I originally did a search and apparently created a poor search argument, got no hits, so I posted what I thought was a new subject.
Google Search "www.fundairing.com site:cpaptalk.com"
Brings up 24 results.
