resmed s9

Post by jcmn81980 » Sat Aug 16, 2014 3:11 pm

Hello I just recently got the machine with the humidifier and heated tube and they told me I could just take the cpap part when I travel and he. Showed me how but I can't get the hose to fit because of the heat connection? Am I doing something wrong

Yes, the Climate Line hose is only for use with the humidifier. You'll have to get a regular Slimline hose from your DME

or a regular hose, you can pick them up from amazon for a few $$$ if you don't want to have to deal with your DME.

Your DME should have given you a Slimline hose for your S9 even if you got a humidifier and Climateline hose. The Slimline hose comes with every new machine from ResMed. Cal you DME.

Agreed. My DME also shorted me the regular hose that came with the machine, so I plan to ask for one.

For unheated hoses, don't bother with the overpriced ResMed stuff. Any unheated hose will work, and they don't have the screwy ResMed hose ends.

Also, don't bother with slimline. The standard diameter hoses work better.

You do have to set the machine to use the correct tube type (Slimline/standard) when you use an unheated hose.

Try putting the other end of the heated hose onto the blower unit. It might fit.
