Got my sleep test results.

Post by Napnea » Thu Aug 14, 2014 12:22 pm

Now where on the forum do you put the results so members know what you're dealing with.
I've been asked to fill out a "profile" but it doesn't look like it wants any test info.

More instant messaging info. I prefer PMs to IM.

right where you posted your question.

reports are more free form, and the hosts of the forum aren't selling sleep reports, so there's no form to fill out that handily links to their forsale pages for those items, like the equipment.

OK here it is.
AHI 16.2/hr on watch PAT 6/2014. (don't know what a PAT is)

Average AHI: 1.3/hr, with most events being obstructive.
I think those are the pertinent numbers.

I see NOTHING to prompt the doc to say it was THIRTY times an hour.

and this link http://healthysleep.med.harvard.edu/sle ... ng-results

...seems...to indicate moderate apnea but not HIGH moderate.

Or so it seems to me.

Napnea, PAT stands for peripheral arterial tone. Here's more info on the Watch-PAT for home testing.

WatchPAT is a diagnostic device:

It's generally something you take home with you rather than something they use at a sleep study center.

are these low results from your treatement test you've been enduring? given that your doctors comment was from before you'd ever seen that infernal leaf blower.

Maybe to your doctor 16.2 is almost 30 times an hour?

They are from the ...sleep test.... that gave birth to the waterboarding equipment I've had for the past week.
Called today and my NEW machine will be calibrated to the sleep test.

Or so they say.

If anything can be believed in this field.

Did they give you a paper summary? It should tell you about oxygen desaturation, etc. scan it it take a photo. Block out personal info and post here. There should be more than ahi.

No O2 stuff at all.
Auto-CPAP Median Pressure: 9 cm H2O
Auto-CPAP 95th% Pressure: 12 cm H2O
Auto-CPAP Max Pressure: 14 cm H2O

Median Leak: 4.8 L/min
95th% Leak: 15.6 L/min
Max Leak: 20.4 L/min
They forgot to measure how pissed off the whole thing makes me.

Oh wait.... there was this
The patient did not spend significant time < 90% saturation
