Data to iPad
Data to iPad
I can't seem to find this in any past forum topics, but what is the easiest way to transfer to and analyze System one data on an iPad. I have a couple of them, and for most tasks they are a whole lot less cumbersome than laptops. Thanks.

you would need an app
Not sure one exists yet
I would prefer looking at my stuff on a tablet as well
I am sure Pale Rider can add to this

Re: Data to iPad
I don't think the System One or Resmed software that most of the forum users are using work on Android Systems - only Windows and Mac. I don't know of any software that you can get for Android. Also you'd need an app that probably doesn't yet exist.

Once again I am reminded how foolish I was to buy an ipad.

sleepyhead, at present, works on macos, linux and windows.
jedimark has stated that at some point in the future, he wants to make a android version, (and possibly an IOS version) with reduced functionality (to be able to fit into a phone/tablet) but that's not the immediate focus.

SH only works on linux, mac and windows, so far, but there are plans in jedimark's head to expand that

Re: Data to iPad
IPads have their uses. I like the fact that they can use most, if mot more, of the apps my phone can use. The new IPad Air is pretty powerful and I don't think they are given the credit they deserve. They will never replace a PC or Mac, but they are really good to use to consume information.chunkyfrog wrote:Once again I am reminded how foolish I was to buy an ipad.

Like any computer (and I started using computers in 1969), they have their uses. Apple can be a problem in that they are trying constantly to control things, but since Android is a good alternative, they are getting the message.

The only way I know of to do it is with a Surface Pro.jonquiljo wrote:I can't seem to find this in any past forum topics, but what is the easiest way to transfer to and analyze System one data on an iPad. Its a full windows 8 system.
Currently no way to do it directly on an iPad.
However, if you run on a windows machine and save reports as .PDF files, you can then load those to an iPad and use an app called GoodReader to look at the data. That's what I do. Its easy to let the doc see anything they want. If your doc has email, you can email directly from GoodReader.

I wouldn't be caught dead buying any "I" product, because they are highly over priced, and the company pays no taxes to the U.S.A.chunkyfrog wrote:Once again I am reminded how foolish I was to buy an ipad.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy 2, 10.1 inch tablet, while it can't totally replace Windows 7, I use it for 90 % of my computing needs. I have a fancy gaming computer that seldom ever is turned on cost $1,500, and is almost useless, the battery runs it 40 minutes before it's drained, it's fan puts out enough heat to cook dinner, as long as it doesn't take longer than 40 minutes.
I do most of my downloading to the tablet, then send it to the main computer in the basement for storage wirelessly. I used to have to spend 20 hours a week in the basement with the main computer, now it's just 1 hour or two a week, the tablet now does most of the work, from the comfort of the livingroom chair. The tablet battery lasts over 6 hours, and recharges via usb wall wart. A few thing it won't do correctly but usually can find a app or work around thst will get the job done, it plays good with my network. I've been toying with the idea on a Windows Surface computer, but I'd probably get a Samsung tab 4. Jim
