Quattro Air cushion sizes

Post by Denial Dave » Wed Aug 13, 2014 9:00 am

I've seen confusing information on the interent about the possiblity of using a large mask cushion on a medium frame.

As best I can tell from the dimensions listed on the RESMED website; the Medium and Large mask frames are exactly the same size with the exception of the length of the forehead part.

Our sponsors list that they are not interchangble, but I've posts from folks that it is possible

Has anyone confirm success in this?

I'd hate to spend $50+ on a cushion to find out it doesn't work

Check with your DME; they could see if a large cushion will fit on medium frame....

I use the Quattro air.

My first mask was a size large, this was a complete mask. I switched to a medium cushion on the original frame and it fits fine.

When I recieved a complete replacement mask I ordered a size medium, and the frames are identical.

Just to shift the focus of the topic to the Airfit F10 for a moment: I recently read a post that said if you have an Airfit F10 frame it will accept either a medium or a large cushion (I don't remember the person saying anything about the small cushions). Since the cushion and the hard plastic 'snout' are integrated into one piece, I suspect that both size cushions can be snapped into place, or so it would seem. That would certainly be a big improvement over most other FFMs.

Anyone one else tried this with the Airfit F10 or read anything in ResMed's literature

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
