CPAP RECYCLING
CPAP RECYCLING
Have no BI-PAP unit (wonderful!). Old 1997 CPAP still operative but unable to find where it might be recycled. Any suggestions?

You local homeless shelter.
A loud snorer/midnight honker might be more welcome at breakfast if others have had their beauty sleep.
Sorry, I've been told that Goodwill destroys them to keep the medical mafia happy.

Re: CPAP RECYCLING
Why not post it on Craigslist? There is a "free" area, and maybe someone who needs but can't afford would like to have it. If I was close enough to take it, I would use it as my back-up/travel machine. I am terrified my current machine will die and I will not be able to afford another one. I have super high deductible health insurance to the point where I might as well not even have ANY health insurance. I would actually pay shipping & handling to Pensacola to get it if you wished to give it to me.
We often have people who come here to this message board telling us they need a machine and can't afford one. An OLD machine is still better than NO machine and not being able to afford one. God bless you for wanting to share it with someone. I am not sure the homeless shelter would take it, since they have to be ordered by an MD, and they might be afraid of the legal stuff. Maybe a free clinic could use it for somebody needy if you have one in your area.
