FLYING WITH A CPAP
I travel on a regular basis and need some advice as to the best option of a CPAP + battery supply. On "flyertalk" it seems as if the Transcend Travel CPAP Machine has great support. I have heard of and seen on WWW newer smaller and battery powered CPAP that is easier to carry around and usable on airplanes. Does anyone have any experience with these units that they can share?

Re: FLYING WITH A CPAP
I use a 12 volt battery for flying to power my respironics system 1 or my older back up respironics cpap machines without the humidifier for the flights but the battery has enough charge for 4-5 days of use so it will handle a humidifier for a few days.

Not sure if this helps. I fly trans pacific route 2-4 times a yr but in biz class. Most airlines I use permit inflight use with their power plug. If you need a reliable power source check this out - excellent reviews in earlier cpap talk posts. http://www.paulcbuff.com/vagabond.php
As far as cpap device, I'm firm believer comfort more important than convenience. So I have been using ResMed s8 autoset for past 4 yrs when on the road. My home device is the newer s9 autoset.
