Palerider chill out & show the respect you wish for yourself to others, esp. when they're communicating out of concern for others' health.

I *AM* showing the appropriate respect for someone that dredges up six year old posts in order to make fallacious posts.

It is the weekend--domain of the bored and uninformed.
To the newbie: Please bother another forum, where bad advice is only annoying--not dangerous.

In my final response, period : (1) Can the "newbie" bigotry etc. It's wrong & doth not a decent & welcoming, adult forum make. (2) Logically calls for greater caution are not themselves "dangerous" in any way where no-one is advocating against finding ANY solution to hose / mask separation. (3) Certainly, when it comes to medical-related issues, no-one's claims or concerns should be assumed correct or incorrect unless from obviously bona fide medically-trained professionals, particularly on the internet! At the *very* most, "Trust, But Verify." Test all things.

A positive suggestion : I find the option of plastic "cable" or "zip ties" are working for me (but if they fail to continue functioning well enough in the medium-term, I'll certainly post an update here to say so.) Two ties hold things together surprisingly firm with my system.

Advantages here include (1) there not being any chemicals used near the mask or inside the connection between mask & hose (such as adhesives inside the joining parts in the form of glue, or the coating of sticky tape); & (2) ties're available cheap at retailers of cheap miscellanea, like discount stores.

Obviously you'll need to make sure you buy ties long enough to fit the circumference of the outside of the hose connector, & that the positioning of the hose connector when you use your mask sleeping won't leave your face or pillow open to scratch or abrasion by whatever length of tie is left extending out. With ties being so cheap, I suggest testing this out lying in bed in the positions you sleep, even if you think there could be issues - as mine turned out fine despite expectations.

Worthless, like dredging up ancient and dead threads, in this case particularly.

And let the dead lay in peace.

Be careful to clip those things nice and flush, lest you be gouged open in your sleep.
