Gotcha.
I understand 1 & 3 but am trying to understand #2.
Sorry for all of the questions, but I am curious.

Re: Tonsillectomy and UP3 surgery
My ENT never said she advised against it. She said she sees many adults a year and typically out of the few hundred adults she sees only 5 are truly surgery candidates where they would see some sort of benefit. She said I would be considered one of those 5.
My tonsils are closer to the center of my throat. Not touching but close. On a scale of 0-3 they are a 2+ size wise.

Don't be in a hurry for the UP3, see if tonsillectomy helps you first then consider.

Re: Tonsillectomy and UP3 surgery
The reason that surgery may impact future Cpap use is that surgery changes your anatomy. Forever. And it very well may affect how Cpap works and you cannot undo the damage. Think of it this way.. you can always re-schedule surgery at some future date when you've exhausted every last one of your options in terms of research, a pulmonary consult, many other avenues, but you cannot unring the bell once surgery's done.
