And, if you take it, you get to play my favorite game at hotels: Find the outlet by the bed! Ok, a power strip always helps but that takes the fun out of the game!

The good news is, if you a flying, medical equipment doesn't count as a carry-on. Just don't put unrelated items in the case. I heard they frown upon that.
As mentioned, you might need some additional electrical items.
I keep an extension cord and a 3 outlet power tap adapter (for 3 prong plugs) in my case (in case all the nearby outlets are in use).
