I have been putting the SD card into a Windows 8 laptop.

On the first night, it got erased by my S9. Afterwards, I learned to lock the card and everything seems fine so far. Is there anything else I should be worried about?

I told my PCP that I'd changed the lower pressure by 1cm, and he was fine with that; I told him how I had researched it, followed the posts on this board, etc. He is happy to have patients who can responsibly take charge of their own health. I have not told my sleep doc or his minions, but will do so the next time I see them. I have not told the DME either, but since the tech gave me the clinician's manual and showed me the SD card, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't care anyway.

I do have a retired friend who used to work in the sleep center, and she saw it when I was showing sleepyhead to her. She said (screamed is a better word) "NO, you can't do that!" I said "why not if it makes me feel better? Why do you suppose they gave me the clinician's manual, and showed me the SD card?" I went on to say that it was only 1cm, .5cm at a time, and I'm not planning to go any higher. She said, "well, I think you should talk to your doctor" and I told her I would. She couldn't answer my "why not" question. I also told her that ever since I made that change, my AHI was almost always < 3 AHI and never 5; in the past I was occasionally getting >5 AHI and my overall average was around 3.5. In essence, therapy was good, but now it's better.

I experienced greater pressure changes during the course of my bike ride today than are induced by most people's CPAP.

I told my doc I was planning on doing it myself, after the titration. His face lit up he said "Great" and gave me a new prescription to use for online purchases. He also told me not to come back unless my AHI went high.

I fessed up to my fleet manager the other day when we discussed getting the results. I also told him, "I don't EVEN want to hear a WORD about my pressure settings being changed." I told him the DME chastised me for suggesting a higher pressure, and after a month I couldn't take it anymore...I dabbled. So sue me. He asked if I raised or lowered pressures, so I gave him a short rundown of what I've done. He was interested, but not in any way angry.

Today we talked, and while they were going to route me through a terminal for readings, I reminded him I have a modem...after being on hold 30 seconds so he could do a quick check, he told me that,
"You're the company poster child for compliance." He said 85%, SH shows 88%, and 100% in the past couple weeks. HAH!!

nope, winblows likes to dump on your card, and the s9 doesn't appreciate that, so it cleans it up.

locking it keeps winblows from dumping crap on it without your permission.

you're good

the "YOU CAN'T DO THAT!!" reaction seems like an overstated knee-jerk reaction. No firsthand knowledge used in saying this, just repeating (loudly) what's been fed into their little minds.

news reports of small woman inflated like a baloon floating over cambridge were received today, onlookers stated that she seem to have some kind of a box attached to a hose dangling from her face.

I told my doctor and he did not care. He claims I am the "most advanced patient" he has ever had, which frankly makes me worried about his other clientele. He thought SleepyHead was really cool.

I never told my DME. They have never figured it out. My DME also doesn't know that the supplies I purchase now are for a second machine purchased on Craigslist of a slightly different model than they sold/rented to me.
