AHI doubled when I switched to auto?

it's best to experiment, and watch, if you see that you have events at 7, or 8, but when the machine gets up to 9, you don't, then you're just causing more problems for yourself with lower pressures.

if you don't see events at 7 most of the time, then by all means, go for 7.

Check your System One Resistance setting. It changes from 0 to 4 depending on your mask. Same thing happened to me when I was put on APAP from CPAP (we have the same machine). My mask is by Resmed so I matched it as closely as possible to one of the Respironics mask on the list below.

I switched to APAP about 2 1/2 years ago for about 2 months to see what might be a better pressure for me. I switched back to CPAP mode and raised the pressure from 9 to 10. Therapy seemed to work better and was more comfortable in CPAP mode. I'm still at 10 and consistently have AHI under 1.
