My husband just got his new ASV machine. His doctor uses Encore Pro x at the office. I have Encore Pro version 2.x, but it does not appear to read the sc chip from his machine. What version does read it, and where can I get it?
Sleepyhead does read the chip, and gives varied and interesting results. That shows me that the chip is OK.
Thanks.

Version 2.13 works with the 960 system.
You have selected the 760 system in your equipment list.
Send a PM to pugsy to request the location of the software.

Re: software for ASV
A little reading comprehension: Joanie said that the new ASV machine is her husband's, so the machine she has listed in her profile is her own.
Joanie, FWIW, I have a Respironics ASV, but it's the 950 model (not the more current 960). For my machine, I use Encore Basic. I used Encore Pro with my old ASV (the legacy/tank model). Pugsy would know what to advise on software for your hubby's machine if it's the newer model.
Best of luck to hubby.

Veni, vidi, Velcro. I came, I saw, I stuck around.
Dx 11/07: AHI 107, central apnea, Cheyne Stokes respiration, moderate-severe O2 desats. (Simple OSA would be too easy.

Re: software for ASV
I am thinking hubby likely got the model 960 machine and Joanie's past Encore version may not have been compatible with the 960. I don't remember which version she had been using. At any rate, I sent her some information on the Pro version that will work with the 960 and await to hear if it is successful.

Re: software for ASV
Thanks to all.
I received your message Pugsy, and did update to version 2.13. That works. I must say that I like the Sleepyhead version better, but the EncorePro is what the doctor uses, so I like to see what he sees.
My husband had his 3rd sleep study to determine that he needed the ASV machine. I am astonished to see that he has eliminated the CAs almost entirely as well as the periodic breathing. Only 5 nights so far, but that progress amazes me.
By the way, I tried for over a year to get him to have a sleep study, begging, pleading, providing research articles, and finally insisting that the doctor request one. About 2 weeks ago he was talking to a friend who was having trouble with blood pressure and other heart problems. My husband suggested the friend have a sleep study because using the xpap has helped him so much. Now he is out there recruiting other people! Made me laugh and shake my head.
As always, special thanks to Pugsy. Yes he does have the new machine, heated hose and all. I had to pitch a few fits along the way, but he now has what he needs.
