what the heck is flow limitation?

Can anyone explain flow limitations? Is it important? Do they count towards AHI?

It's equivalent to how much obstruction (or obstructions) there are to normal flow of air from inhale to airway - or however much blockage of air there is to normal airway opening.

So .... Like a partially collapsed airway? That could be useful in determining the effectiveness of pressure settings. Hmmm..
