Exhausted in late afternoon.

Post by AvaM » Wed Jul 09, 2014 6:56 pm

hopefully my machine and stuff now shows up...

my ahi last night was up to 2.3 it usually sticks around 1.1 - 1.3 which is really good

BUT I am exhausted.... I am not sure what my pressure is set at I am guessing around 11 or 12

Will it help to have the pressure increased due to exhaustion.... if I go to high on pressure, sounds like the bathroom is blowing up in the mornings.

Can I increase pressure somehow? can I find out what pressure is on the machine? I don't have any software for machine either.

with recent surgery all my numbers changed again... Oh Joy!!

Thanks

Hi Ava:
Based on your note, do you have a Respironics 760 Auto BiPap?
When you start your machine, the display (the LCD) will show the pressures.

You should get the appropriate software so you can monitor your own treatment.
Encore or SleepyHead are the two available. If you have a windows machine, then either can be used. For Macs, then SleepyHead.

Once you can look at what is going on, you will be able to see the breakdown of any events during the night.

For your records, you should get copies of your sleep study report and titration study report.
That will be helpful in understanding what your current treatment values mean.

If you see significant leaks, that could cause your rest to be less than great and account for afternoon tiredness.

Yes, I'd explore leaks and masks, etc., before raising my pressure any higher as yours is beginning to 'get up there' a bit for someone who doesn't seem to be benefitting too well. Have you recently had your thyroid and/or other labwork checked?

it doesn't, all it says is:

just put the machine in comments, something like "remstar 760" (or whatever number is by the "REF" on the bottom.

it's easier than trying to figure out the weird names and pick the right one from the list

You can go to the above link and request the provider manual for your machine. It explains how to check for pressures and other stuff.

this would be the 750 model and it will not work with the 60 series humidifier.

You probably have the PR System One 60 Series BiPap Auto machine (see my profile as I have that machine) model 760...the 760 is on the bottom of the blower unit.

The main difference between the 750 and 760 model is the ability to use the heated hose. Couple of other minor differences which aren't a big deal. The machine profile equipment list choice for the model 750 is broken so that's why it doesn't show up for people. If you have the 760 model it is a working link and can choose it if you wish.

Software....SleepyHead works great with it. You can also get Encore but it is a Windows only software so if you have a Mac you can't use it unless you put Windows on the Mac. SleepyHead has both Windows and a Mac version available.

it's better to put it in a comment in the equipment page, as opposed to signature, that way it's all in the spot people look for it

quick note.... then will flip it over tomorrow to make sure all is right.

I can use the heated hose, but only use the heat option in the winter season.
