Karen was kind enough to send me one of her new ideas: The CL2 Nitecap.
Summary - This product is ahead of its time. Yes, I would use it keep my head warm in the winter months. However, It was too warm for me, last night.
1) First thought = It appears to be a product designed to fix a problem I don't have.
2) Installation = I bit tricky, but I am an engineer, and the instructions were OK. However, I do know a couple of people who would not be able to cope with the installation.
3) Test with nasal pillows = Slightly different adjustment required to seal the small nasal pillows, but the medium nasal pillows sealed with the nitecap at about the same setting as without it.
4) Test with 'Simple Cushion' - The nitecap moved the pivot point, so far forward that it would not seal, even at the most extreme angle adjustment.
Its too bad that the CL2 is not equipped with a means (clip) to defeat the angle adjustment detent assembly. This would make the 'Simple Cushion' more accommodating to the 'panty hose' strap.
5) Sleep test (with small nasal pillow set-up) = It was just too hot (room air 76df). I got up and removed it. However, if a bit more material was added, to cover my entire bald spot, I think it would be great in January.

Hi,
I have been testing Karen's new pad for the CL2.
It is well made and very software, but for
me it is way to hot for summer use.
We keep our bedroom around 70 - 72 degrees
with two fans on. When I first put the pad on and
got it bed I thought how soft and nice it was.
About two hours later woke up and was sweating like
crazy. Had to remove the pad before I could put my
CL2 back on.
Plan on trying it again when the weather gets cooler in the
fall.
Karen, you might want to try something in a summer weight
material.
Thanks for you work and a nice product. Will try it again
this fall.
