I discovered another mask liner maker!
This is a company in Minneapolis; I have not seen or heard anything about them, but from the web site they look like a good alternative to the one-time use liners... they stick on, can be used for up to 2 weeks at a time before throwing them away. I guess the only thing I'd wonder about is the sticky substance sitting on the cushion for all that time and what it might do to the cushion. They have liners for just about all masks... maybe a few missing in the list, there may be some masks I don't know about that are not in the list.

So about 14 nights before you throw one away?
Kind of "spendy", considering Karen's liners can be used for months.

Laminating fabric to foam--not new;
attaching sticky strips--not new either.
Mask liners--still not new.
So was to patent? the combination? -making it non-washable?
Yeah, I'm impressed. big woop!

sadly, it doesn't take much more than $$$ to get a patent on something these dayschunkyfrog wrote:Laminating fabric to foam--not new;

Re: I discovered another mask liner maker!
I don't know folks, it looks like it could be worth trying to me. I haven't tried Karen's liners, but I think they are similar in concept to Remszzees (or whatever) and I have tried them. They're just way too fiddly for me; I have enough to do in my pre-retiring protocol already without something else to fool with. If these things really work I might give 'em a try. If they actually last 14 days I'd pay $6.00 a week-again, IF they work. Biggest concern I'd have is what they might do to the silicone seal upon removal. They talk about how it adheres better the longer it stays on, but then say how easy it comes off with no seal damage. Seems like you couldn't have it both ways.

Re: I discovered another mask liner maker!
Actually, chunkyfrog, I agree with you, but since we all need different approaches to mastering cpap I thought I'd throw it out there for those who want to try it if other options don't work for them. I don't plan to order them myself, as I've found what works for me. $9.99/month is cheaper than 30 RemZzzs at anywhere from $29-$34, the various prices I've seen for them. I would love to use Karen's liners, but there was something about the fabric that my face didn't like... Personally, the idea of using sticky stuff doesn't appeal to me on several levels, but mostly because I don't think it necessary as once the straps are in place RemZzzzs stay put.

Re: I discovered another mask liner maker!
I use remzzzs and really like them. I can easily get 4-5 nights from one liner which definitely makes them less expensive than first appears, but they're still not cheap. However they make my full face mask really comfortable, and that is no easy thing!

Re: I discovered another mask liner maker!
Bucco, I agree! In fact, I get more nights than that because I wash in the washing machine and iron them to help them retain their shape... I have a bunch of unused RemZzzzs still in the box. Plus, I've started making my own from t-shirts I buy at goodwill store and my own old ones, of which I haven't many right now.

Re: I discovered another mask liner maker!
I usually get at least 4-5 months from PadACheek liners and sometimes longer. Depends how often I wash them. But even at min 3-4 months it makes them far lower in cost than Remzzs. I didn't care for Remzzs because they don't stay in place if I have to get up in middle of night and take mask off. I like how Karens have the Velcro fasteners on the FFM liners to stay. Also much more durable fabric. Old Dude they are not similar to Remzzs as you are assuming. Quite different and can be washed dozens of times. But I know many prefer Remzz's and whatever works is great. I got burned by that last fly-by-night liner seller (scammer) last month so I am sticking to someone I trust and a long time member of our community here.

Re: I discovered another mask liner maker!
At least this is a middle ground, price-wise, between Rem-zzz's and Pad-a-cheek.
Now that I think of it, the reason I stopped using a liner was partly because it was a pain in the butt to use.

Well okay, I'm game. I just ordered one pack of these and I'll get back to you all with my experience with them, and how they compare to remzzzs (which I am currently using).

Re: I discovered another mask liner maker!
So why do you have to take the mask off when you get up in the middle of the night? I leave mine on - all I have to do is pull the connector off the mask, and I'm good to go traipsing around the house. Often in the morning when I do take the mask off, the RemZzz stays right on the mask without any sticky stuff to keep it there. To each his own, as long as we have a system that works.DoninOrlando wrote:I usually get at least 4-5 months from PadACheek liners and sometimes longer. Depends how often I wash them.
