Aura or Comfortlite 2

Post by Guest » Thu Jun 08, 2006 5:57 pm

Just want to see what peoples opinions are between the two masks. I have the swift now, and I keep ripping it off cause I think my subconscious self doesn't like anything on my face while I sleep.

Thanks for the info!

Jack

Jack,

The CL2 and the Aura rank about the same in comfort. But, the CL2 is probably more user friendly, plus you get two nasal devices for one price - a mask, plus either pillows or prongs (your choice).

I use the Aura and find it extremely comfortable.

I don't know anything about the Aura but I would definitely vote for the Comfortlite 2. It has worked very well for me since I started to use Ayr Gel which has ended the discomfort I had with the simple cushions irritating my nares.

I've used both (and others) and in the end I always go back to the Aura. IMO, it's the best!

I like the CL2, because I can use it as a nasal pillow mask, and, with the help of either an old chin-strap, or an old Adam Circuit nasal pillow strap,
I can use the simple cushion. (I haven't tried RG's panty hose, yet)

Ditto to what Linda said about both being comfy.

Flip a coin! And plan to get the "other one" sooner or later.

I use both - mainly the Aura (Headrest.) I guess you could say I use all three, actually, since with the CL2 I switch between the pillows and the "simple cushion" thingie that goes over the nose. I have to put a soft stretchy homemade strap acrossor above the "simple cushion" to keep it from leaking. But with the strap across it, it's very comfortable for a change of pace from "pillows."

I prefer my deconstructed Aura and wear it more often than anything else. But I guess if I could have only one mask, I'd go for the CL2. As Linda said, the CL2 gives you two types of masks in one.

I vote Aura. I tried the CL2 after using the Aura for months and I have had snores that wake me up. I feel pre cpap after using it etc. I do like the comfort of the whole mask and the options it just does not work for me.

Oldgearhead,

The pantyhose strap (actually "tights" work best), is so much more comfortable than any real strap!!! I've also tried regular straps, and none are as lightweight and comfortable as the pantyhose.

Do yourself a favor and try it. Men can always go to WalMart and act like they are buying some tights for their daughters. Well, maybe not. I guess it depends on whether they want to be regarded as a Queen or a Pervert. ....
