Here is a link comparing ASV machines against a standardized benchmark..
One interesting conclusion was the statement that apneas were resolved but hypopneas remained.
That is similar to my experience.

That first link JDS74 provided seemed to indicate the resmed algorithm was not as effective as the PR algorithm in general. Am I miss reading? Not sure where I read it now, but the enhanced autoset algorithm sounds good. Is that is current vpap machines only? These links are awesome, so glad I asked!
