Price estimate on my old PR 560P

Post by Pasta » Fri May 30, 2014 6:48 pm

This isn't a for sale thread, my doc wants to sell my used PR 560P to an uninsured patient and wants to know what I want for it. Got it new May of last year, has about 2700 hours on it, comes with the humidifier. Any ideas on value? I want someone to come away feeling like they got a good deal but I'm not rich so I can't just give it away.

Second Wind sells them with "low hours" for about $400 or so.
New, they are available for less than $850 .

Yeah, I've checked those places. But those are all low hours and reconditioned (and with a warranty I think?), mine has a solid 2700 hours on it and is as-is. I was thinking $100 to $200 but not sure since I haven't really seen this model for sale with the equivalent number of hours. I always see either very low hours or really high hours.

Is the humidifier included?

Yep, humidifier, PAP, hose, and original case.

Pasta, I see you're in Maple Valley. I can't help on equivalent hours. I bought a 560P with low hours and all the bells and whistles from someone in Mt. Vernon for $175 but that was a real deal. I think $200 is fair but not a steal.

$150 to $175 would be a fair price with the hours on it. There comes a point when these machines don't lose any more value with the hours as long as they are fairly current technology machines.
What is the manufacture date on the bottom of the blower? It's on the same sticker as the model number and it's in year/month/day format. Example 20140101 would be born date Jan 1, 2014.
If it is less than 2 years there still may be some warranty left but it's unlikely to need it at this stage. Seems like when the crap out it's either really soon into therapy or much later after 10,000 hours.

Cool, thanks for the input. I'll probably just tell her to charge her patient anywhere from $100 to $150 depending on her patient's financial need and how nice they are. I'm not trying to make money off it, I just can't give it away with credit card bills staring me in the face lol.
