New machine

Post by wlenz » Thu May 29, 2014 12:46 pm

I am being provided with a new machine and it should arrive middle of June. I will have to live with this machine for the next 5 years, so I want to know a little about it from the fellow members that may be familiar with it. The machine is a Respironics 760 ts. It is being supplied with an 8ft heated hose. I trust the users on this forum more than what the DME has to offer, so if you have any comments, + or -, please post.

Thanks,

Bill

That's PR's top-of-the-line bilevel machine. Full data compatibility, heated humidifier option (did you make sure you're getting the humidifier? The M-series humidifier is not compatible with the 60 Series), etc.

Thanks, I especially want full data capability. Without data, you are flying blind.

I have a PR S1 760 with the heated hose. You will love it I am sure.
Send me a private message when you are ready for the clinical manual for it and if you want Encore software (I need to know what Windows version you are using to know which Encore to recommend) and I can help you with that. No more card reader though.
The 760 uses a SD card and if your computer has a SD card slot you don't need anything else. If your computer doesn't have a SD card slot all you need is a little generic reader/adapter so you can use one of your USB ports.

You can use SleepyHead software if you wish. In fact you can use both SleepyHead and Encore if you wish.
Check out the links in my signature for information on the software options.
I do need to update the SleepyHead stuff though...new version is out already and a newer version is slated for release very soon. The 60 series machines no longer need the special patch file that I talked about in the software instructions.
So I guess I need to move "updating my software install" threads to the top of my "to do" list.

Your old Encore won't work with this new machine but the new Encore will work with your old machine so if you want it now...let me know.
