Hi everyone,
Looking to try some nasal pillows. I have a deviated septum in one nostril. I am currently using a Nasal mask and need to clean my nasal passage every few hours. If I do not clean my nasal passage, I get clogged and wake up easily
I am hoping the pillows will reduce the need to constantly clear my nose
THANKS

The currently popular AirFit P10 is a wonderful mask. Don't know how it will work with a deviated septum, but is definitely worth a try.
I would also recommend the aromatherapy sold by cpap.com. There is one combo set (clear & calm) sold as sinus blaster that is great for nasal congestion.

Pretty much any of the nasal pillow masks will work. They all function about the same.
The exception being maybe the prong mask and I don't think you want to go there.
I would look at the good old stand bys...the new AirFit P10 from ResMed or the veteran Swift FX nasal pillow or even my Tap Pap if you are so inclined. The Pilairo Q from F & P might be a consideration but the one size fits all nasal pillow was a big bulky to suit my tastes. Oh...the F & P Aloha is also a great nasal pillow mask. It has a little more headgear to it than the P10 or Swift FX but it is still very comfortable.
None of the nasal pillow masks actually go very far into the nostril. Only the tiny tips of the inner cones enter the nostril. The bulk of any nasal pillow rests on the outside of the nostril. So it doesn't really matter where the deviation is or how much.
Now the prongs...they go way into the nostril and while not as horrible as it sounds the fit on those have to be just perfect.
You might also play with the humidity choice on your machine. Some people find that more humidity helps and some find that less humidity helps with the congestion for any reason.

I wanted to by pass the obstruction so maybe the prongs is the way to go.
I am going to order a few while off on vacation, (actually stay cation as we will be home). I like to try new masks when I am off from work for a few days or more....

The Nasal Aire prong mask
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/innome ... e-kit.html
has all sizes of prongs to try. I tried it. I ended up being an in between size...smaller was too small as they have to inflate fully to seal and the next size up was too big causing horrible pain when inflated.
I have one of these you can have
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/nasal_ ... nomed.html
I don't know what size the prong is though. I don't think it was ever used. Donated from a sleep lab and from the looks of the package never used.
The prong masks are NOT very popular except among a select few.
I might have enough of the Nasal Aire II to make a complete mask. You are welcome to it if you wish. Used but not much from the looks of it.
If used creeps you out..that's okay I understand.
Most of the stuff that gets donated to me are experiments that have failed. Some might be just a try on...I hate it ...thing but I have no way to know. It's pretty easy to spot well worn though
I also have a Swift FX nasal pillow mask used that you can have...headgear being used but still serviceable but brand new never used nasal pillows. I think I have all sizes available.
These are free. The only thing I ask is postage reimbursement as shipping out this stuff adds up pretty quick.
Just send me a PM with name and address and what you want to try ...if you want to try.
