ComfortFull 2 Mask Issue

Post by OwlCreekObserver » Wed Jun 07, 2006 1:04 pm

A couple of times during the past week or so, I've managed to separate the adjustable forehead arm from the mask in my sleep. It isn't a big deal to put it back together, but it's a pain to have to mess with it in the middle of the night. Yesterday I put a short strip of 1/2 inch nylon packing tape down the front of the arm and so far that seems to work.

Has anyone else had this problem with the ComforFull? It looks like pretty cheesy design to me, but maybe all masks are like that.

It is pure Limburger, I have had both of the lower swivels break away, and the forehead support. I have 2,000 hours on the mask. It's starting to get heavy. I've added 1.5 oz of Epoxy and 5 glus sticks to it. the Glus sticks are for the nose piece.

And yes it's a little bent and at the wrong angle, and my nose is healing nicely, thank you. Jim

Thanks, Jim. I've wondered about those swivels also. I figured out that it's a little easier, adjustment-wise, to just unhook one of the swivels in the morning and not undo the Velcro. But I've been wondering how long I can get away with it before the mask end of the swivel breaks.

Glad you mentioned the sore nose thing. I eventually moved the mask a bit north and I'm hopeful that the callous on the bridge of my nose will eventually go away. Of course my lower teeth are numb by morning, but hey, you can't have everything.

Your profile shows that you're using the FlexiFit HC431. How's that working? I see that it fits under the chin, which seems like a good concept...especially if I can keep my teeth from going numb.

Regards,

Don
