I posted here about a week ago looking for encouragement and guidance. That post is here:

I received numerous responses full of information and encouragement, which made me feel better almost immediately. I thought I'd give everybody a (almost) 2 week update.
Pugsy recommended the SleepyHead software, which my work schedule hasn't allowed me time to install yet. I'll post data from that when I get it installed. In the meantime, here are my observations (almost) 2 weeks in:
-I have good nights and bad. Saturday night was my first good night, and it was really good. Machine says I got 7.5 hours of sleep with no mask leaks. I did wake up a time or two, but only briefly. The second time I awoke, the machine and I were so synced that I wondered for a second if the machine was still on. I did not feel as rested as I had hoped, but as the day wore on I could tell the difference.
On the contrary, Sunday night was pretty horrible. I woke up once in a panic and serious mask leaks. I woke up inexplicably at 4:30 am (which I have done almost every night so far), and rather than try to sleep longer I just got up for the day. Felt like I had been hit by a semi truck.
-Regardless of whether I have a good night or bad, I continue to wake up with a headache. This headache doesn't necessarily get worse as the day goes on, but it persists unless I take something like ibuprofen or Excedrin. I don't think it's a caffeine thing, as my only intake of caffeine comes from the Excedrin.
-I notice no pattern-- yet-- that I can associate with good or bad nights.
-I panic a bit less every night, it seems, and I'm not sure I'll need my ramp much longer. Still don't love sleeping with the mask, but it seems the machine and I are becoming more agreeable.
-I don't really feel rested when I wake up after a good night. I can tell a difference as the day goes on, but I was really hoping to wake up (for once-- just once) feeling rested. I hope that comes.
-Still a bit miffed that for such an expensive machine, it can't transfer the SD data to my computer/SleepyHead via WiFi. In fact, for what I'll be paying for it, it should have an alarm clock, internet radio, soothing sounds, and it should make me a cup of joe in the morning.
-After trying several masks during my 3 night titration study from hell, the sleep people happened to hook me up with a pretty good mask. It's the Wisp nasal and I have no complaints. Good mask.

Re: Status: Newbie at 2 Weeks
We've both been using CPAP around the same amount of time. Glad its also getting easier for you. Today was my first day that I thought I might be feeling a bit better. It sounds like its not am immediate thing for too many folks though. I too wish looking at detailed data was easier...I end up taking the SD card out each morning to review data, then put it back in each night. I imagine I won't look at data daily for too long though. Using Sleepyhead is quite easy, and I've found reviewing the data to be fun, but I guess its because I'm into that. Thanks for the update! Best wishes.
