21 yr. old son just diagnosed with Sleep Apnea

My heart goes out to you and your family! The way I look at the situation with your son, is that it is GOOD news! Bad news that he has sleep apnea, but good news that he was diagnosed at a young age. I would kill if I had started treating my sleep apnea at a young age! He can treat this disease, feel better and probably eliminate health issues that he may get later on in his life. Educate yourself here, and help him adjust to wearing a mask. Better yet, ask him to work all his issues on this forum!

Thank you all so much for the support. We will know more after his appointment next Wednesday. They did tell him he has options on the phone because it is mild at this point. So I am not sure what they will be offering him. I have told him how much better I feel after using my cpap and he was willing to use the cpap if that is what he is given. He has not been feeling good lately and is very tired all the time so that is what led us to do the test. I actually was the one that suggested it. His doctor did blood work and some x-rays and everything came back good so I thought it may be sleep apnea. I will definitely post after his appointment next week and give the details as to what they found during the sleep study. I will also talk to him about joining this group. It has been so helpful to me! Thank you all again.
