For sale: Bipap Auto SV Advanced with humidifier

Post by Singularity » Tue May 13, 2014 12:48 pm

Hi all,
yep this is my first post, so here is some background so you don't think me to be a random spammer or similar degenerate.
I used this machine for a few months and it found a home in the closet. I simply could not stand it. It felt so powerful i felt as if i was hooked up to my air compressor in the basement and not some machine designed to help me sleep. There it has sat in the closet for about a year and i recently got a job requiring a CDL. As such i had to get a new sleep study.
My recent study put my AHI at 15(previously 70 but i will get in to that story in a bit). IDK why i need to use a cpap but the company i work for requires it and wants 3 months of logs to prove i am using it. More to the point i had to go out and get a different machine because this one(the bipap auto sv) somehow would not work for my situation. So i ended up with a rem star A flex "system one" or whatever. It works, i hate using it but i want this job so i trudge on. I should note I personally do not feel i need it because i do not wake up tired, yawn all day or snore like i used to prior to my Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty surgery. So here i am two years later and i have a really cool conversation piect or a paper weight or something i could take out back and shoot for a laugh. being the person I am i hate to see such a machine go to waste. There are people in this world who need the machine far more than i do and might be able to make use of it.
I called second wind and they have a few of them on stock and said i should call back in a week or two. When i asked how much(ball park) they would pay for this machine they said around 400$. I can only assume they will charge someone in the neighborhood of $1,000 for this unit based on that offer(though admittedly that is a complete guess).

so on to what i have.

Phillips Respironics BiPap Auto SV advanced
Humidifier and water storage tank for humidifier.
I'm sure i have the storage bag packed away somewhere
I was offered $400.oo for the unit from second wind
they seem to go for $999.00 on cpap.com
---I 100% assure this unit is mine, not stolen or anything similar.
based on that I'm pricing it at 600$/ or best offer(i will accept any offer in that range im not picky I just want the unit gone.) shipping included to anywhere in the U.S.A I'm unsure about the number of hours on the machine best number i could see was 600 when i turned it on. But I honestly have no idea if that is correct. I used it for maybe 2-3 months and stopped. It was plugged in for a while before i stopped actually using it. Actual usage time was seriously 2-3 months nightly.
here are some links to the unit on 1800cpap/ cpap supply USA

This unit is not sold on cpap.com https://www.cpap.com/productpage/remsta ... chine.html reference only, what you have is and older unit. Since this machine there have been 2 more advancements in machines, the System One 950 and the new model 960, that's probably why Secondwind would only give you around $400.
