Apria Healthcare Credit Card Dispute Charge
Re: Apria Healthcare Credit Card Dispute Charge
So why won't you tell us which Apria office you use?

Re: Apria Healthcare Credit Card Dispute Charge
Probably for the same reason you won't register and tell us what Apria offices are in your area... and what your experience with your Apria offices has been.
I may have missed it by why is it so important to know all the details of what office he has had experience with. It is well known that different offices offer different experiences and that is what he reported. If you can't accept that then enlighten us why you have a problem with that.

It's real simple big guy, if there is a golden nugget out there don't you want to know where it is? I am sure others do. And that others would confirm this if it is indeed true.HoseCrusher wrote:It is well known that different offices offer different experiences and that is what he reported. Why wouldn't you share it with those who ask? Esp. when they are having troubles.
Your rely makes me think you are also the Physician who is not a doctor.
And the real question is if the Physician is telling the truth why can't he tell us where this golden nugget is located so others can enjoy the great service?
It just seems odd with all the complaints saying the same thing about Apria all over the internet that one person shows up here saying how wonderful they are. And now its the Big Hosecrusher defending that one person. What is wrong with this picture?
And if you must know I fired Apria long time ago. Never to return again, ever.
Give it up Physician.... where is this wonderful Apria office located? Or does it even exist?

Re: Apria Healthcare Credit Card Dispute Charge
I have used Apria for a little over a year now-
And my experience has been mostly positive.
When I first started phone calls took quite some time waiting on hold.
But a few months ago I noticed calls being answered much quicker and when I asked about it I was told they recently hired more people to answer the calls. Most items arrive within one to three days.
I had to wait longer for a heated hose. When I called Apria for the status of it I was told they were waiting on kaiser for fixing the way they coded the item and suggested I speak to the DME clerk about it and sure enough the clerk at kaiser verified the error and my heated hoses arrived soon afterward.
Sometimes the wrong size or item has arrived but it's been fairly easy to resolve. In the beginning I used to deal more with the local Aprai office but now I just call the 800 number and let them ship the items to me.
Last year When I picked up my bipap I asked for a heated humidifier and the local office gave one to me and said I would have to pay for the heated hose. So Ipaid simply to not have to wait longer for my request to be processed. And when I told my RT she took care of things so now I don't have to pay for the heated hose.
All that to say that my overall Apria experience has been positive in the SF Bay Area.

I still don't want to give them my credit card, and if they do win the competitive bid,
my doctor will demand I get a quality full data machine and supplies of MY choice.
Until that happens, I will be working with my new Mom 'n Pop outfit.

Re: Apria Healthcare Credit Card Dispute Charge
I have dealt with Apria for four years. Last Saturday, they set me up with an appointment to come their local office to pick up my bi-pap machine. On the way to pick up the machine, I told my wife to be ready for the office to be closed, have no idea who I was or the machine wasn't gonna' be there. She thought I was crazy, Low and behold.... they made me an appointment to pick up a machine they didn't have.
Sometimes my experience with them is pleasant, and sometimes they will put me on hold for an hour and hang up on me. Most of my experiences with them is to re-stock my supplies and the experience was good, but they can be very difficult.
As I stated here for years... I do not understand why you good folks on this forum would expect decent treatment from ANY DME. Why? You know that most of the time you don't get it! My wife was fuming... but I told her I didn't expect to be treated right. If you don't have that expectation, then it is no surprise when they dish out the BS as they do. If you happen to get good treatment, then consider yourself fortunate. By the way, they did ask for a credit card... which they have never needed. I thought about this thread and smiled. I told the lady "You really don't need it... do you?" She smiled back and said "no"...
Sheriff
PS: the lady at apria had no clue of the function of the respiratory settings for the bipap machine... so I'll be looking for some help with it when I get it (I'm lookin' at you Pugsy.... yep.... you!! )

Here the people are helpful, but the main office still wants the cc#.
On the bright side, there are some intelligent people working on the recent mess.
My fingers would be crossed, but these silly webs get in the way.

Re: Apria Healthcare Credit Card Dispute Charge
they had my credit card,(disability account), only to be used in case machines were damaged by me or stolen. i had requested billing which i would pay when billed. i called many times requesting a bill, apria said "don't worry about it, it is all okay". then they sent me nasty phone messages and calls. "you will give us a good credit card, if you don't pay us now we will take away your life support system". i asked what the bill was for and they threatened me again. i paid them, many times for reasons unknown. they stole thousands of dollars from my disability account through the credit card. their answer when i try to demand the reasons for their billing, "you want us to take away your life support systems?" i changed the account number. they continued threatening me until their drivers, saw i had my own equipment. i have purchased my own oxygen concentrator, nebulizer and accessories. i am saving for an oxygen compressor and E tanks. i do not need to rely on a company that delivers partial, wrong parts, wrong address, wrong street, and argues with me trying to order items i require to stay alive.
never, ever, don't even consider the tiniest thought of letting apria have any of your account numbers. don't let your spouse do it, they don't need it.
i paid them through certified check, low cost, great security.

As your name implies, you are a guest here and you really should not be criticizing a member who has been here 5 or 6 years who has given their time and talent to help those with Cpap problems. Why don't you register and become a part of the community rather than spouting off to members who have been participating for over 5 years. However, this is a non moderated forum so if it makes you feel better to spout off, be our guest.Guest wrote:It's real simple big guy, if there is a golden nugget out there don't you want to know where it is? Re: Apria Healthcare Credit Card Dispute Charge
You have my forgiveness. The problem with Apria seems to be timeless.
If the unintentional bump has alerted ONE person to the snake pit that is Apria,
then you have done a mitzvah. Blessings on you.
