New -question on ResmedQuattro Air ffm
Have been using my machine for just over a week. my immediate question - there seems to be a lot of air coming out from the front of the mask...is this normal?
Re: New -question on ResmedQuattro Air ffm
You are probably feeling air that is coming through the vent holes. If that's the case then yes, that's normal and expected and wanted because that is how excess CO2O that is exhaled from the lungs get dispersed. Otherwise you would keep rebreathing it and that's not good.
You should be able to spot the vent holes easily enough.

Thanks. Just wanted to make sure that was ok.
Re: New -question on ResmedQuattro Air ffm
Yes, mine does that. Just as long as it isn't leaking around the seal you're OK. As much air as vents out the front fitting it's sometimes difficult to tell where it's coming from.

As others have said, Quattro Air vents around the hose to prevent rebreathing. Air from around the edges of your mask is a problem, but air from the vents is not. Here is the pressure-flow curve for the Quattro Air. You will notice that as the pressure increases the flow from the vents also increases:
