No Leak Solution: Quattro Air and Simplus headstrap

Post by Lukie » Sun Apr 20, 2014 1:23 pm

F & P Simplus head strap and a Quattro Air Mask.
0 leaks even lying on one's side.

The Quattro Air is a well designed mask except for its flimsy headstrap so I took the head strap from
my Simplus and put it on the Air.....heaven and good sleep.

That info might be good for someone else to know who has issues with the stability of that mask. Maybe you could edit the title so it doesn't get missed. Thanks for sharing.

That's kind of funny! I thought the Simplus headgear was a little warm so I took the headgear from the Air and put it on the Simplus, which works great for me!
When I tried the Air, it leaked so bad I didn't think of trying different headgear. Maybe I should.

@Lukie: I like your idea; I'm having issues with my Quattro Air. I just went to cpap.com to look at the images of Simplus headgear and it looks like the lower straps have a quick-cinch buckle, how does that work with the Air's slide-on tabs? Do you remove those and just use the looped-over velcro?

Now using AirFit F10 mask; Quattro Air is backup mask. RemZzzz mask liners with both.

This is interesting since I do exactly the same thing with the Quattro Air except I use the headgear from the F&P Eson nasal mask. It's much higher quality than the standard flimsy Q. Air headgear, plus the top strap is adjustable where the standard Air top strap is not. It works like a champ. The F&P headgears seem to be very high quality.

I highly recommend this combination, and even told ResMed how well it worked.
