restful legs

Post by herefishy » Sat Apr 12, 2014 7:31 pm

For those of you who suffer with Restless Legs Syndrome, I've just gotten a recommendation for an OTC product called Restful Legs by Hylands. No affiliation, just trying to help out.

Hyland's is junk. Just a bunch of useless things thrown together and covered under a sales and marketing plan.

Have your serum ferritin (iron) checked. If you have RLS, you need an iron level of 90 or above.

If it is below 90, ask the doctor for instructions on supplementation with ferrous sulfate.

I have used Restful legs on and off for a long time and it worked great. I often use Homeopathic medicines and have found them very helpful. My friends in Germany, who are pharmacists, have given me good advice over the years. In Germany Homeopathic drugs are prescription drugs and must be prescribed by physicians. A good friend(in Seattle) was told to take homeopathic Arnica prior to major surgery by her AMA surgeon to reduce swelling after surgery.

Don't underestimate the power of a placebo effect.

Herbal remedies have been used successfully for millennia.
That which does not make money for big pharma is systematically ignored and discredited in the USA.
Only in other countries, where the patient comes before bu$ine$$, has any research been conducted.
That said, I would trust your German pharmacists--
---a bit more than heavily advertised herbal hucksters probably out to make a buck.
