Rescan / new computer

Post by JeffH » Tue Apr 08, 2014 10:43 am

Upgrading my computer and was wondering if someone could send me a good link to ResScan installable program that I can put on a USB stick and install in my new computer.

Also, has anyone had success getting ResScan transferred to their new computer using Microsofts Easy Transfer hardware device and software? I have the hardware so of that will work no need for the link.

Thanks

Thanks Pugsy. You're a life saver. Upgrading computers is such a PITA these days.

May be I am missing something obvious here, but what specific problems were you having. The more details the better.

I am in the process of replacing my Windows XP PC & should have a new PC with Windows 8.1 in a couple of weeks or less. Since XP is no longer supported by Microsoft (as of today) and my PC is pretty old, I decided to take the plunge.

I've done this before, but back in the days when everything was simpler.

I have also procrastinated about updating my iPhone 4S & my wife's iPad 3 to ios 7.1, but expect to do that in the next few days also.

Technology does change so fast, but one must maintain some semblance of at least trying to keep up.

Since my 2 1/2 year old grandson shows his grandmother how to get to the specific program he wants on her iPad, I feel that I should at least pretend to know what I am doing.
