New York radio station WYNC is running a "community data experiment" to track listeners' sleep patterns. It accepts data from Jawbone and Fitbit devices, the radio station's own iPhone app, and the radio station's web site (no smartphone required).
Most relevant FAQ for this forum: "If you live in the New York City metro area, we'll include you in our aggregated data about how the city as a whole sleeps. If you’re outside of the metro area, you can still track your own sleep and see trends over time - you just won’t be counted as a New York City sleeper."
