Some have already folded; (Medicare competitive bidding)
I suspect that's where the cushions and pillows on Amazon and Ebay come from.

Now, THAT is ridiculous. The manufacturers control the wholesale prices and the government controls the reimbursement rates/amounts. In fact, the feds are already letting "a bunch of the DMEs go out of business". They've had to go through bidding processes over the last couple of years. The ones that qualified are on the list of approved vendors and the ones that didn't aren't. The big outfits are mostly the ones that are on the list. So, you see, the feds have already been doing what you're fearful of.

Not much we can do about it, but work out how to get along, whatever happens.
Stock up, boil the little suckers, whatever it takes.
