Post nasal drip
Just checking, does anyone have post nasal drip in the back of their throat because of the CPAP? Have had it for a couple of months and just got a prescription to try and dry up the mucus. Just wondering if setting the humidity level differently would help. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Re: Post nasal drip
I get PND quite often. I don't think CPAP has any bearing on it. I use Musinex to thin the phlem and Claritin (antihistimine) to get rid of the PND. It seems to bother me during the day. I don't notice it much at night. You might also try a nasal rinse at night.

Re: Post nasal drip
LSAT, first of all being from Wisconsin as well I enjoy your logo. As far as the post nasal drip it seems like it's always at the back of my throat. I went to my PCP on Monday and told him that I've tried Benedryl, Claritan, and Zyrtec, with no relief. He prescribed a nasal spray called ipratropium bromide which dries out the mucus in the nasal passages. I'm only on the second day of it but it does seem to help. I don't find myself swallowing as much to clear my throat. Swallowing is important because I have PVC's in my heart which can be affected by the amount of times I swallow. Anyway, I hope you find relief and I may try the Mucinex. Thanks for the suggestion. Always appreciated and Go Pack Go!!
