Wonder if the inside of tubing is also getting crusty. I rinse it in vinegar but can't scrub it so replace it now and then. When I'm due for stuff they call me by machine and I push yes or no for each item so they only send me what I want
Do you use distilled water? If not, try dumping the remaining water every morning and rinsing it.

I travel a lot for work and just use bottles of water. Hard to lug distilled water on an airplane. The TSA people don't approve for some reason

Unless you're already doing this.........
How about using one water chamber for travel (using whatever water is available) and one for at home (distilled only).

And, do you have a backup/spare machine?

I have been using the same water chamber for over 15 months and it has been cleaned twice. I use distilled water only. My chamber is as clear today as it was the day I got it. Is it important that you save the $1 it cost for a gal of distilled water?

Guess I could find a CVS by the hotel. Good point.

I replaced my PRS1 water chamber once when it developed a film on it that I couldn't remove.... once. It has been a year since then, and I won't get another. Sometimes stuff happens in spite of regular cleaning and the use of distilled water. I'm about to replace my worn out headgear though. It is a good idea to always have a spare on hand... I remember someone having the cover break or some such thing, and needed to replace her humidifier for that reason... when it's time to go to bed the spare comes in handy when that happens.. but more than one spare is too many.
