I deal with Apria, and have had a few issues with them, but I was able to work thru them. I don't think the issue is "are you happy with your DME", but the surprise folks here have when they run into a "crappy DME" . As stated before, they have their own rule book whether you understand OR agree with them or not. You need to be prepared to be "unhappy", "treated badly" or "not fully understand".

Re: Anyone else like me actually reasonably happy with their DME
I suspect there are many people who would still buy a try a number of masks until they found one that works for them even without insurance. For a lot of folks a good night's sleep is worth the cost. Unfortunately, I am not getting the benefit from CPAP that many do.
I have a friend who has a CPAP also and didn't have health insurance for a number of years. He won't replace any of the consumables until they just won't work anymore because he has to pay out of pocket. His hose is a sickly yellow color and really should be replaced, but he probably won't spend the $10 or $15 until it gets a hole in it. He won't replace nasal pillows until they are pretty much rock hard and start to leak. He does buy his supplies online.

Apria, but I will only say, "--not unhappy".
My first two DME's did make me unhappy, and that is why they no longer hear from me.
Cpap.com has been my DME longer than any other,
but I wish Medicare would reimburse my purchases from them.
It would save the program so much money!

I am very happy with my DME--Louisville O2 in Louisville, KY. They not only have set me up with the best equipment (according to my research and preference), but have made sure that everything is working out for me. When I asked for a mask that they did not have access to, they figured out a way to supply it for me. When I failed on CPAP, I had the PR 760 the next day. Everything they have done in my behalf has been absolutely right!

Re: Anyone else like me actually reasonably happy with their DME
I have a love hate relationship with mine. AHP. It all depends on who I talk to. It is like pulling teeth to get a new mask. It takes about 2 months to get one. My insurance pays for a new one every 6 months. I was due a new one in December but I just got it about 2 weeks ago. They keep losing my information. I think the company is just too big and no one knows what is going on. Last week I got a call that I was due a new mask. I had to argue with the lady that I just got one and wasn't due one. She told me I was wrong, but she would check and call me back. She never called back. I get tired of jumping through hoops for them. If I could only deal with one person I would be happy I think.
