Respironics Water Chamber Replacement question

Post by beautifuldreamer » Thu Feb 13, 2014 3:38 pm

I just received a replacement water chamber for my bipap auto, and it comes with two different tops,
one is dark in color, and the other is transparent but has an extra piece added on that the dark one doesn't have.

Is one lid better than the other lid?

the instructions say which ever you choose to use, to throw the other one out (all in pictures, no words).

Thanks much

Is Crapria your supplier. This is a cheap after-market tank. One fits bipaps and one fits cpaps, i think, so see which fits your unit. I got one for backup, but I'm not sure I want to use it. It doesn't look as sturdy as the Respironics ones, and more difficult to see the water level.

According to this
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/respir ... l-kit.html
if you enlarge the picture of the 2 lids and the container...the dark lid is for the 60 series machine and the other lid for the other system one machines which I guess would be the 50 series.

Mine was NOT made by Philips Respironics. If the manufacturer's one sells for $22 retail, Crapria must be getting this off brand for a few dollars each wholesale.

I just checked the label on the packaging of the water chamber that I received, and it says Philips Respironics on it - wonder why yours was not made by Philips Respironics . . . interesting since we have the same provider . . .
