Skull cap

Post by LinkC » Wed Feb 12, 2014 4:13 pm

OK, I'm not vain by any means, but my headgear was doing a number on my hair. Every morning I'd have this cowlick running across my head (sideways). Impossible to tame without "goop", and I hate goop!

So, we're in Walmart and my wife was getting shampoo from the haircare section. I saw a nylon skullcap intended for Black guys to cover their "afro". It occurred to me that one of these might hold my hair down at night so the headgear wouldn't "style" it. And they were only 99¢. Short story: it works! No more "straphead". If you struggle with bedhead from your headgear, you might give it a try. BTW, you actually get TWO caps in the package for a buck.

What a good idea! Wal-Mart is just down the street from where I am... next time I'm out, maybe I will pick up one of those packs.

I keep my hair and beard pretty short, to try to avoid that. Then I discovered this morning that I have "grooves" on my head, wherever the mask straps run. And no, they're not tight. Anybody else notice that? Maybe a skull cap would help.

A word to the wise, after putting the cap on check the mirror to see if your pants are falling off. Jim

Lol, Link's got a do-rag!

I wonder if a kippah (yarmulke) would work?
