Just recently, maybe the last few weeks, my BiPAP has been acting weird. It makes a popping or stuttering sort of sound/action. This happens at the end of my inhale. It isn't just a sound, tho. The air supply itself is popping and stuttering. The best comparison I can make is like an inexperienced driver learning to drive a stick shift and is struggling with the clutch. It only is this just annoying but it's making it increasingly difficult to sleep.
I've had a BiPAP for about 7 years now so I'm not new to it. The headgear is new and I'm thinking maybe that has something to do with it. If I pull the mask away from my face, even just creating a bit of a gap, it tends to lessen the effect.
I use a full face mask (nose/mouth) if that makes any difference.
I appreciate any thoughts or suggestions y'all might have.

It sure sounds like you have some water in your hose. My S9 makes that sound when I accidentally overfill the H5i tank and suck in a few drops of water into the hose.

Thanks for the response, Dave!
I actually don't use water in my machine.. And the jolting that it dies is a lot more severe than the gurgling I heard when I did used to use water.

Re: BiPAP acting weird, popping/stuttering
with the info provided i also would have guessed
water
it could be the one-way flapper was moved out of position when you cleaned it
so what model is this mask
who makes it
water
of course it makes a differenceBigC wrote:I've had a BiPAP for about 7 years now so I'm not new to it. The headgear is new and I'm thinking maybe that has something to do with it. If I pull the mask away from my face, even just creating a bit of a gap, it tends to lessen the effect.
