I wouldn't recommend using your phone number in the post. You can edit it to remove it. If you sign up and fill out a little of the profile, people can send you private messages.

Can you tell us more. What general area do you live in? Can you afford to buy a used machine? Have you had a sleep study with a titration to determine your pressure needs? Or will you need to titrate on your own?

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

If you have or have had a sleep study, that should give your AHI sleeping on your back or on your sides. Generally speaking, a good number of people have a lower AHI sleeping on their sides, myself included. So if you have a sleep study, you can find your best sleeping position there. If you haven't, then you might try sleeping on your side in the hope that will minimize your sleep apnea. It may help you.

There are clinician manuals available online. If you post what machine you have, people will give you directions and tips. If the machine has data, we will help you figure that out too.

Do you know the pressure that you are supposed to use?

Since you haven't got your machine from DME yet...you might want to read about what to expect
About machine models and data... http://maskarrayed.wordpress.com/
and what to expect from the DME http://maskarrayed.wordpress.com/what-y ... me-part-i/

If you know what pressure you are supposed to use and the brand and model of the machine you are using...clinician manuals are available so that you can set the pressure yourself. It's easy to do....gotta know which model machine you are using though
