Question for Tap pap users, I'm thinking about a new mask (have been using the Swift FX for a long time now), trying to narrow down possibilities.
My question about the Tap pap is, would it work for someone who tends to get sore teeth? In the past I have had to wear a brux guard (have not had a brux problem since cpap) and I found it difficult because it would make my teeth really sore just from the pressure of the guard against them, is the Tap pap going to cause the same issue?
Also, would it be suitable for someone with veneers on front teeth? Don't want to put undue stress on those.
Thanks.

Re: Tap pap question
My 4 front upper teeth are crowns.
The tooth soreness...don't know what to tell you. My teeth were pretty sore for about a week. It went away after a few hours and as time went on it got where the soreness lasted less and less and after probably 2 weeks I didn't have any real soreness upon awakening.
Now after months of use...never have any soreness in my teeth.
I had never used any sort of oral appliance so this mouth guard was something totally new to me.
Never wore braces or used any sort of mouth guard.
So it will cause some initial discomfort most likely...how much? Only you know how much you can or cannot tolerate.
It will lessen or go away though.
Did you see the big long review thread that we did back when it first came out in March?

Re: Tap pap question
My experience mirrored Pugsy's in regards to soreness - gradually went away in a few weeks. I continue to use the Tap Pap because I enjoy being strapless and for it's stability with no shifting or leak problems. The compromise is it seems to have pushed my gumline upward and I now have issues with food getting stuck that I didn't have before. I am unsure how veneers are attached and don't know if that presents any risk for you. Just thought I'd mention it just in case.
