PR Wisp nasal mask

Post by RomeinDNVR » Mon Feb 03, 2014 9:45 am

Been a while since I posted on here. I just finished a clinical trial and one of the test masks was the Phillips Respronics Wisp. I have to say that it is the best mask I have ever tried since starting CPAP by far. Even with an avg pressure of 18 this mask does not leak or shift while I am sleeping. I never thought I would say this about any mask... I love this mask!

If you use a nasal mask I would highly suggest giving this one a try, you will not be disappointed.

same with me, Wisp is the best! No mask footprint on your face every morning and also kind to your hair

Thanks for posting this review- I am curious if either of you have used the Swift FX and how the wisp compares to it, if so?
I'm due for a new mask and trying to decide whether to stick with the tried and true or take a chance to get some improvement.

I used the Swift FX for a year until my DME stopped carrying it. The Wisp is far better, hands down.

Another ardent fan of the Wisp! Silicone frame only--fabric is not as stable.
I wish they would make a "small" frame, though; my little ears would be so happy.

I am a long time user of Swift - from the original Swift, II to LT and then FX. Nose pains and large leaks after several weeks due to quality (or built in obsolescence?) made me curious to check new masks available last month and then 2 weeks ago got a used Wisp and am very happy with it. The best of all Respirnics and Resmed that I have tested (Activa, Ultra Mirage, Hybrid, Gl masks, all nasal pillows etc)

I like the Wish cushion but the headgear is MASSIVE! I wake up with headgear hair..... Candy they make something for girls and their hair? Also so sick of gray --- can we have purple please for a change?

Get used to the gray. I have to look at the pink every year to celebrate breast cancer awareness What about us guys with prostate cancer, I don't ever see blue Shave your head, then you won't have hair issues No fuss, no muss, no bad hair days

Wisp was my third mask, and it was the charm for me!!!! I love the nasal wisp mask. I love it came with three different sizes. I go between the petite and small.
Thanking you in advance! :)

Cherokee - I do too! I still can't decide which one feels better! Isn't that wierd? Lol! I guess there is just not that much difference in the two sizes but they both fit me- strange. Glad to hear someone else uses both!

I'm pretty certain you know I will pulling your chain about getting used to gray. As long as I get to sleep, I don't care what color it is. Though I would have to be out of it to wear pink or purple

I just returned from my DME's office. They are in the process of ordering a wisp for me. All they have (according to them) is the fabric frame. Why do you say it's not as stable as the silicone? Is the silicone frame as soft and pliable as the one the Swift FX is made of?

I use the silicone one too. Not sure how the fabric was going to hold up so I chose the silicone. The fabric is probably going to be just as good. I think you will like it.
